Join a leading training academy as a L&D Manager and lead a dynamic team in a state-of-the-art facility. This role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to significantly impact the training operations. Please be aware this role does require travel to London 1-2 days a week with business needs but travel costs are covered.
Day-to-day of the role:- Line manage the training team to ensure consistent, effective, and professional delivery of all training courses.
- Oversee the Support Team, promoting a collaborative relationship between multiple team locations.
- Ensure adherence to working practices and protocols within the training team.
- Manage course scheduling to meet expected demands and support management teams in achieving licensing status requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of trainer utilisation and course delivery.
- Develop and implement personal development plans for all direct reports, providing regular coaching, support, and feedback.
- Ensure consistency in approach through regular observations, feedback mechanisms, and meetings.
- Lead special projects as required and attend stakeholder meetings to stay updated with industry developments.
- Organise regular meetings with trainers to share and update best practices.
- Develop quarterly scheduling planning processes for training calendar sign-off.
- Strong coaching and people management skills.
- Learning & development experience within an industry setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Adaptable being able to respond quickly to change
- Strong abilities in planning, organisation, and prioritisation.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
