Long Term Futures are working in collaboration with a welcoming secondary school, who are seeking an enthusiastic individual that would be confident to support students with their learning and development. This role is located in the Derby, Spondon (DE21) area. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming school in on full time and long term to permanent basis.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a supportive team, in a friendly and warm secondary school.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provided support to secondary aged pupils, promoting engagement with learning
  • Support students with special educational needs
  • Monitor and track student progress, and report back to relevant members of staff
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers/support staff to ensure that the best possible support is provided

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of working with children/young people
  • Experience in supporting children/young people with special educational needs
  • A passion for supporting students to reach their full potential
  • An Enhanced DBS and two professional references are a requirement for this role
