Long Term Futures are working with a number of secondary schools across Derby and Derbyshire to appoint Teaching Assistants to play a vital role in supporting learners, enhancing their academic and personal development.

We have positions available in a number of areas, covering the whole of Derby & Derbyshire.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Actively support students with special educational needs to access and engage with learning
  • Deliver personalised 1-1 and small group support
  • Monitor and facilitate the progress of students, nurturing their social, emotional and academic development
  • Facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation with learning

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
  • Experience of working within a secondary education setting is desirable
  • Experience of working with children/young people with special educational needs
  • An Enhanced DBS and two references are a requirement for this role
