A leadership role in a collaborative and innovation-driven teamYour Role: As a Technical Lead, you will take responsibility for specialist and complex calibration and repair operations while ensuring full compliance with UKAS standards and contractual KPIs. You will also play a key role in process improvements, problem-solving, and mentoring colleagues to enhance overall team capabilities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-precision calibration of measuring instrumentation to National UKAS standards.
  • Lead and coordinate technicians and engineers (non-supervisory role).
  • Analyze and solve complex technical issues where precedent may not exist.
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain and service calibration instrumentation, equipment, and facilities.
  • Produce, review, and audit manual and automated calibration procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 and company quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and certification documentation.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to colleagues.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and interlaboratory measurement comparisons.
  • Perform additional tasks aligned with your expertise and training as required.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Engineering qualification in a relevant field OR extensive hands-on experience in calibration and metrology.
  • In-depth knowledge of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based and laboratory automation software.
  • Advanced technical expertise in precision instrumentation and calibration processes.
  • Strong manual dexterity for fine adjustments on high-accuracy instruments.
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor colleagues.
