TRAINING & EVENTS CO-ORDINATOR

FULL TIME 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning national organisation leading the way in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support. At Sunshine Support, we provide advocacy, consultancy, and training for parents, carers, and professionals supporting children with additional needs. Our training events and webinars attract global audiences, and we take pride in delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences.

Now, we’re looking for an experienced Training & Events Co-Ordinator to help us continue this vital work, ensuring our events run smoothly and make a real difference.

The Role Will Involve...

  • As part of our supportive team, you will:

    • Plan, organise, and coordinate online and in-person training and social events.
    • Build strong relationships with speakers, agents, and partners.
    • Research and secure new speakers, negotiating contracts and event details.
    • Work with our marketing team to plan and promote training and events opportunities.
    • Confidently and charasmatically host online (via Zoom) and in-person events.
    • Manage event logistics, ensuring compliance with company policies.
    • Represent our organisation at industry events, expanding our reach and partnerships.

Essential And Desirable Criteria

In order to carry out the job, and 'hit the ground running’ there are specific skills and experiences that we require from applicants. We would expect all candidates who are interested in working with us to be friendly, a strong team player, keen to share ideas and listen to others.

Essential:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in event coordination (showcase your achievements in your application!).
  • Proficiency in Eventbrite (2+ years) for event management.
  • Strong Zoom experience (2+ years) for online event hosting.
  • Familiarity with Canva (2+ years) for creating event materials.
  • Experience using social media for event promotion.
  • Confident networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills for contracts and agreements.
  • A passion for education and inclusion—we need someone as excited about this as we are!

Desirable:

    • Experience with social media advertising.
    • Skills in photography and video production for social media
