A leading Entertainment business is looking for a Finance Business Partner / Commercial Finance Manager to join the team. This role will run finance operations, budgets, forecasting and reporting for a key venue as well as lead a small team. This is a permanent opportunity looking for someone with strong stakeholder management skills, initiative and enthusiasm to take ownership for providing quality MI reporting and supporting the team with commercial finance and analytical input. This role is based in Central Derby and offers hybrid working, 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home.   Responsibilities: 
  • Provide high quality MI and detailed commercial financial analysis of the operations to support decision making. 
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes and systems, with the objective of improving controls and efficiencies. 
  • Prepare annual departmental budgets and forecasting packs.
  • Provide ongoing Finance support on the financial impact of initiatives implemented, especially around the impact of premium and hospitality products. 
  • Prepare event reports and a weekly performance tracker for all events.
  • Where relevant prepare ROI analysis for capex projects that are income generating.
  • Responsible for and have control over integrity and accuracy of MI from EPOS and other business systems. 
  • Provide commercial insight into working capital management through a stronger control framework or improvement in processes.
  • Ad hoc project work as directed by UK Finance Director and GM.
Required Skills:
  • Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA, including relevant post qualification experience.
  • Experience of management of people. 
  • Track record of implementation of processes and change management experience.
  • Good knowledge of processes, systems and control frameworks.
  • Advanced Excel skills including formulas and ideally macros.
