Finance Manager - Part- Time

This newly created Finance Manager role, is a great opportunity. The Finance Manager role is offering Part time and hybrid working, with flexibility.

The role is a varied position covering everything from book-keeping and payroll through to VAT submissions, month end reporting and budgeting. The role is also responsible for ledger integrity, provision of accurate, timely financialreporting for stakeholders and robust operational finance processes. Alongside financial control, the role has a particular focus on business partnering.

This role will suit a high performing, qualified finance professional who has warm communication skills and can engage positively with staff at all levels to address anything from monthly performance and payroll queries to forecasting and commercial support.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the integrity of the general ledgers, accounting transactions, robust control procedures and accurate reporting
Balance sheet management including monthly reconciliations and explanations for movements
Business partnering to include budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, customer profitability and pricing support
Cash flow forecasting and cash flow management.
Manage timely invoicing and accounting relating to revenue recognition, accrued and deferred revenue. Ensure timely cash collection
Manage purchase ledger effectively and prepare weekly payment run
Meet regularly with departmental heads to inform about spend versus budget and forecasts
Management of the monthly payroll and expenses process. Management of payroll and expenses queries.
Quarterly VAT reporting
Recommend and introduce process improvement changes as appropriate to improve the control environment and process efficiency.

Person Profile
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Minimum 1-2 years PQE
Advanced excel skills and ability to use complex formulae, in addition to working knowledge of HMRC
A people person, experienced building rapport with people around the business at all levels
A completer finisher mindset with strong attention to detail and highly organised
Resilient and able to work under pressure.
Experienced at managing external suppliers (eg auditors, payroll providers, bank, software suppliers)
