A college in Derby is seeking an Animal Care Lecturer for a temporary full-time position lasting approximately 6-8 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Level 1 and 2 Animal Care courses.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures to students enrolled in Level 1 and 2 Animal Care courses.
  • Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to improve course content and teaching methods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in an Animal Care related subject.
  • Teaching qualification is desirable.
  • Experience teaching Levels 1-3 in Animal Care.
  • Industry experience working with animals.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
