Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Derby, UK
Salary: £85 - £100 per day
Contract: Temporary/Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in Derby.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and managing classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and complete their work. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in classrooms, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Manage classroom behavior, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
- Provide support to students, helping with the completion of tasks and assignments
- Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher
- Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members
- Assist with administrative tasks when required
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
- Experience working with secondary school students (desirable)
- A positive attitude and a passion for supporting young people
- Flexibility and reliability
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
