START TIMES - 04:00 - 09:00 OR 15:00 - 21:00

£16.20 - £34.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Foston.

Rates of Pay:

• Days: £16.20 per hour
• Nights: £17.50 per hour
• Overtime after 9.5 hours: £20.00+ per hour
• Sixth shift for days: £32.00 per hour
• Sixth shift for nights: £34.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Trunking depot-depot (2-3 runs)
• No handball (working on curtain-side delivering alcohol products)
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous experience of multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

Training

• Driver's assessment will have to be completed
• After successful assessment, there will be a one-day paid induction
