Handyman/woman Assistant

About the Role:

Our client, a growing company in the facilities maintenance sector, is looking for a skilled and versatile Commercial Facilities Maintenance Assistant. This position is based in Derby and involves covering various facilities contracts throughout the East and West Midlands. You will be responsible for a wide range of general maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform minor plastering, decorating, and flooring repairs.
• Replace door handles, hang pictures and mirrors.
• Conduct minor works such as mounting skirting boards and doors.
• Carry out general commercial cleaning tasks where required.
• Assist with furniture moves for our client's customers.
• Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in general maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• UK licence with less than 4 minor points (due to insurance restrictions)
• Flexibility to travel across the East and West Midlands as required.
