About the SEN School

Opening in Summer 2025, this is a brand-new, purpose-built special school dedicated to supporting children and young people with ASC and SEMH needs. Their vision is to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every student can thrive.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in shaping the culture and learning environment of our school from the very start.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant you will support students in their educational, social, and emotional development by:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to enhance student learning.
  • Supporting students in line with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation through agreed strategies.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Supporting students with personal care when needed, in a dignified and respectful manner.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers and families.

This role is varied, requiring flexibility and a willingness to contribute to different areas as needed.
