Job Title: Town Planner / Senior Town Planner - Private Planning Consultancy
Location: Derby
Salary: Dependent on experience + wide range of benefits

Are you a talented Town Planner looking to advance your career? Or perhaps you're ready to take that next step towards becoming a Senior Town Planner? We are seeking a motivated and ambitious planner to join our established private planning consultancy in Derby.

You will have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and specialist sectors such as minerals and waste, allowing you to broaden your expertise and make a real impact in shaping local development.

Key Responsibilities:
路Manage and deliver planning applications, appeals, and development proposals across a variety of sectors.
路Provide expert advice to clients on planning policies, processes, and project strategies.
路Support or lead on projects in the minerals and waste sector, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
路Collaborate with colleagues, local authorities, and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
路Assist in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and helping to grow the consultancy.

Key Requirements:
路Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited or working towards chartered status).
路Experience in planning, with a strong understanding of the UK planning system.
路Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
路Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
路Experience or interest in minerals and waste projects would be advantageous.
