Lead iOS SDET

Deerfoot IT Recruitment is looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to oversee testing resources on a small, highly focused team responsible for delivering an internal and customer-facing native mobile application. This full-time Lead iOS SDET hybrid role is based in London and offers an attractive salary and benefits.

You'll be part of a company that securely captures and preserves the communications data of the world's most highly regulated firms, giving them greater visibility and control over their information and ensuring compliance with stringent regulations. The team comprises a technical product manager (TPM), four senior software developers, and an SDET, and you will collaborate with them and relevant backend teams.

To give you an idea of how this Lead iOS SDET role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:

• Manage performance assessments and hiring for a small team of SDETs
• Drive the team's testing and automation strategies
• Define and organise the team's test planning for releases
• Design and coding automation frameworks, tests, and tools
• Pair with developers to design contract tests for both consumers and producers

To apply for this Lead iOS SDET position, you will need at least 8 years of experience in test development and 2 years of experience leading a small team. Additional qualifications include:

• Excellent understanding of Swift and testing practices in an agile environment
• Excellent understanding of the iOS ecosystem
• Experience with XCUITest
• Knowledge of network principles and protocols such as HTTP, TLS, and TCP would be beneficial
