My client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations within our Aerospace division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and meeting delivery targets while adhering to industry regulations and safety protocols

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the production team, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
  • Monitor production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant aerospace industry standards.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimise workflow.
  • Lead and manage production staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Drive adherence to lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
  • Report on key performance metrics, including productivity, cost efficiency, and defect rates.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and senior management

The Candidate:

  • Extensive knowledge of production processes, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry
  • Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety and environmental management
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and other modern manufacturing methods.
  • Leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness
