Job Title: QA Auditor/Assistant
Location: Derby (DE24)
Pay Rate: £12.98 per hour
Job Type: Temporary (6 months) with potential for a permanent role
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) — occasional weekend work may be required
About the Role:
We are hiring a QA Auditor/Assistant for a well-known brand in the food industry based in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in Quality Assurance, ensuring food safety and product quality through routine checks and collaboration with the production team.
Please note: This role involves working in a cold environment and requires handling raw meat products, including pork, beef, and poultry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct QA and QC checks, including temperature, weight, and cleaning checks.
- Ensure food safety controls are monitored and maintained.
- Support the investigation of customer complaints and process issues.
- Assist in maintaining food safety certifications (BRC, Red Tractor).
- Work closely with production teams to uphold quality standards.
- Participate in product tastings as part of quality checks.
About You:
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or Quality Assurance is desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, BRC) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and IT skills.
