Pay: 400 - 500 a day

Hours: 7Days/Week, 10 - 12 Hours/Day

Are you a highly experienced and driven Electrical Site Manager seeking a long-term, leadership role on a prestigious commercial development in Derby?

Our client, a leading main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality commercial projects, requires a dedicated and results-oriented Electrical Site Manager for a significant 5-year development in Derby. This is an exceptional opportunity to take ownership of all electrical aspects of a major build and lead a large team to successful completion.

About the Role:

As the Electrical Site Manager, you will be the key point of contact and responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of all electrical works on this large-scale commercial project. You will ensure that all installations are carried out safely, to the highest standards, within program timescales, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all electrical installation activities on site throughout the entire 5-year project lifecycle.
  • Lead, mentor, and direct a team of electrical supervisors, foremen, and electricians.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a positive safety culture on site.
  • Plan and coordinate electrical works with other trades and the main contractor's management team.
  • Monitor progress against the program and proactively identify and resolve any potential delays or issues.
  • Ensure all electrical installations are carried out to the required quality standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Manage and track materials, plant, and labour resources effectively.
  • Liaise with design teams, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Prepare progress reports and attend site meetings.
  • Manage and sign off on subcontractor works.

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as an Electrical Site Manager on large-scale commercial projects (ideally with projects of similar duration and complexity).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current electrical regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large teams effectively.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Valid ECS/JIB BlackCard (or equivalent).
  • SMSTS certification is essential.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach.
