Job Role: Project Engineer / Estimator
Location: Hinckley
Salary: 35,000 - 40,000
Metalis are currently working with a leading fabrication and manufacturing business who supplies bespoke solutions into a range of industries including Water, Plant machinery, HVAC Systems and industrial machinery to name a few. Due to a bursting order book with new projects coming on all the time our client is looking to recruit a hands on Project Engineer to hit the ground running and be part of a developing team. You will have some experience estimating for jobs including quotations, measuring and client visits.
Due to the immediacy of the work our client is looking to fill this role as soon as possible. There is no option for sponsorship or relocation however.
Job Duties
- Utilise SolidWorks software to create rough drawings to pass onto the design team.
- Manage and organise CAD libraries, templates, and project files to ensure timely delivery of design deliverable while meeting quality standards.
- Be an integral point of contact for installation days and set ups ensuring a smooth line of communication between business and client.
- Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines throughout the design process.
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
- Attend Client meetings representing the business on new business and project updates.
- Work with manufacturing department to work out method of manufacturing
- Take instruction from the Project Managers with required adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Job Requirements
- Experience working within a fabrication/engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in either SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- 3-5 years within a hands on Projects Role.
- Ability to create detailed estimations
