ATA are working with Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK at their world class manufacturing facility in Burnaston, Derbyshire. We are supporting them on a recruitment drive to add an experienced mechanical engineer to their growing team. The groups UK arm is a critical part in the company wheel and currently operates as their flag ship site in Europe accounting for an impressive £3B of the groups £210B annual turnover.

About the role

The mechanical engineer will join TMUKs facilities division is responsible for all the onsite infrastructure, from the buildings, lighting, heating, waste management systems right through to the distribution for electricity.

As a Facilities engineer you will be working on valuable projects to replace and improve equipment to meet Toyotas group energy targets and legal compliance requirements.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Working along side the onsite facilities maintenance team.
  • Working with & managing external contractors.
  • Project management from conception to completion.
  • Supporting with CO2 & Energy reduction.
  • Manage contracts for safety and legislative areas such as gas, Fire, pressure vessels and lifting equipment.

About you

To be considered for this mechanical engineer role you should have/be the following:

  • Experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment (Desirable).
  • Previous experience working within a facilities environment would be beneficial.
  • Technical understanding of pumps, motors would be beneficial.
  • Evidence of new equipment installation.
  • Mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Project management capability.
  • Full right to work in the UK and hold a UK driving license.

This role would suit somebody who has completed an engineering degree within any discipline.
