Mechanical Engineering Work-Based Tutor - Full-Time - Derby

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of engineers? Do you have experience in Mechanical Engineering (Machining/Mechanical Maintenance) and Electrical/Electronic Engineering? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

The Role

We are looking for a Work-Based Tutor to join our Derby-based college on a full-time basis. You will play a key role in supporting apprentices by assessing their progress and ensuring they meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visiting apprentices at employer sites to teach & assess their work and provide guidance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with employer line managers.
  • Marking and assessing learners' work from home, offering flexibility in your schedule.

What You Need:

? Driving licence and own transport (essential for employer site visits).? Mechanical Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above.? Previous experience as an Engineering Assessor with relevant Assessor qualifications.
