Our client
Our client offers high-quality, digitally enabled rolling stock solutions that contribute hugely towards the success of Britain's railways. They not only own and lease new rolling stock vehicles but also offer asset management which is focussed on driving performance, safety and suitability for the asset's life span.
Our client has over 100 Engineers and Fleet Support staff working directly on their passenger fleets, alongside key Relationship Managers, who hold a deep understanding of their customers' requirements with their existing fleets and investment opportunities into new rolling stock.
Role Purpose:
The position works across multiple business functions to support fleet planning and delivery activities. Specifically, the role manages the development and maintenance of the fleet, looking at the strategy of Heavy Maintenance, Modification and Fleet Life Cycle. You would be expected to assess and monitor the planning and budgets around these activities also.

Responsibilities:
* Manage your allocated Projects on time and to budget
* Monitor overall performance of the fleet
* Provide detailed forecast on Fleets or Projects
* Provide strategic input on management and development of the fleet
* Ensure key issues are identified and logged
* Consult on and co-ordinate key documentation
General requirements:

* HNC or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
* In-depth Rolling Stock knowledge
* Basic knowledge of project management
* Basic knowledge of rolling stock vehicles
