Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our acute stroke and neuro team. This role involves working closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans for patients in an acute inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough Occupational Therapy assessments for acute stroke patients

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Collaborate effectively with MDT members and ensure accurate documentation

Manage a dynamic caseload, prioritizing patient needs for timely and safe discharges

Prescribe adaptive equipment and aids to enhance patient independence
Key Requirements:

Hold an Occupational Therapy degree (MSc or BSc) and full HCPC registration

Minimum of 12 months NHS experience in an acute stroke/neuro setting

Evidence of relevant stroke/neuro-specific training

Strong understanding of stroke conditions and Occupational Therapy models

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

Proficient in managing caseloads and computer literate
