Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient team at UHDB. The role involves assessing, treating, and managing a variety of inpatients while working closely with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure effective care and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, treat, and manage a diverse inpatient caseload.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the MDT.
  • Ensure safe and timely discharges with appropriate support in place.
  • Handle challenging conversations with professionalism and sensitivity.
Key Requirements:
  • BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Minimum 6 months of NHS experience.
  • Strong MDT communication skills.
  • Experience in inpatient settings, including discharge planning.
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive discussions.
  • No remote working - on-site role.
