About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Shaft Sinking Miner to join a leading company in the tunnelling industry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of large-scale tunnelling projects across the UK, working on shaft sinking operations in a dynamic and safety-conscious environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the shaft sinking process, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Operate and maintain equipment specific to shaft sinking and tunnelling operations.
- Work closely with the senior shaft sinking team and other tunnelling professionals to deliver projects on time and to specification.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring all procedures and policies are followed.
- Perform inspections, repairs, and adjustments as necessary to ensure operational continuity.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress and report any issues to supervisors.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in shaft sinking, particularly within the tunnelling industry.
- Strong knowledge of tunnelling equipment and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and willingness to work shifts if required.
- Valid CSCS card and relevant tunnelling qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
