About The Contractor:

Reddbrick are recruiting for a regional contractor with a proven track record of successfully deliveringconstruction projects.Currently, they are seeking aQuantity Surveyor with main contracting experience to join their team and manage projects throughout the region, with experience of commercial builds, Education and Residential builds and NEC and JCT Contract experience.

Quantity Surveyor Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managingthe commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Conducting cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans
  • Conducting the subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms.
  • Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management
  • Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions
  • Managing the preparationand submittal ofmonthly reports on project financial performance
  • Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements
  • The role will involve general Quantity Surveyor duties but will not be limited to these duties alone.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Relevantdegree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • A strong understanding offorms of construction contracts (NEC & JCT).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Experience of commercial builds and taking responsibility for projects up to the value of 20m
