Reddbrick are recruiting for a leading Regional Main Contractorwith a proven track record of successfully deliveringconstruction projects across the West Midlands.Currently, they are seeking aSeniorQuantity Surveyor to join their team and manage projects in Derby and the East Midlands

Senior Quantity Surveyor Role:

As a SeniorQuantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managingthe commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans
  • Leading the subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms
  • Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management
  • Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions
  • Managing the Preparationand submital ofmonthly reports on project financial performance
  • Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements
  • Management/mentoring of a team of Quantity Surveyors
  • The role will involve general Quantity Surveyor duties but will not be limited to these duties alone.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Relevantdegree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • A stong understanding offorms of construction contracts including JCT, NEC and D&B.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Experience of Student accomodation, Retirement Living and Residential schemes.
  • Commercial management experience ofprojects in excess of 15m
