Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with a client within the sustainability and hygiene market and they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This position is due to company expansion and growth, as our client plans to double their revenue within the next 3 years.

Hours: Mon-Fri (preferably office based although hybrid working can be considered for the right candidate)

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + company car + bonus/commission (earning potential £65,000 - £70,000) + company benefits

What duties would you be doing within the Business Development Manager role?

  • Contacting companies across the UK to introduce washroom products and services
  • Through your own contacts and market knowledge as well as online research, outbound calling, face-to-face meetings and presentations, you will be expected to open new lines of business in the company target markets.
  • You will be responsible for the full sales cycle: research, call, meet, propose, negotiate and close.
  • You will also be expected to manage your accounts proactively to grow spend.
  • The opportunity to grow your own client base and build yourself into a critical member of a growing team.

What will you bring to the Business Development Manager role?

  • At least 5 years sales experience in the Hygiene/Sustainability markets or similar is essential
  • Experience with new business generation and some account management is essential.
  • Ability to work to targets and deadlines - setting your daily and weekly targets for yourself and monitor success.
