Housing Support Assistant - Milestone House, Derby

We are looking for a Housing Support Assistant to join our team at Milestone House in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by supporting single homeless customers as they transition to more stable accommodation.

Key Details:

  • Contract: 3 months, with potential for extension
  • Location: Milestone House, Derby
  • Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week, may include weekends)
    • Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering accommodation support and activities services to customers in Milestone House.
  • Work closely with residents to provide tailored support and encourage positive outcomes.
  • Help individuals prepare for and successfully move on to appropriate, stable accommodation.
  • Ensure a high standard of service delivery and continuously strive to improve outcomes for customers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate, proactive individual with a passion for helping vulnerable people.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in housing support, homelessness services, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
