We are working with a primary school in the Heanor area that are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEND learning support assistant to join their wonderful team. The start date is as soon as possible, expected to carry on into September. Previous experience in a similar role is necessary. It is a friendly and successful one form entry primary school with happy, engaged children and welcoming and motivated staff.

The role will be a mixture of 1:1 and  general class support. It will be a full time position, with the potential to go permanent. The successful candidate will be placed in the year 4 class, supporting the needs of a child with SEND. You must be able to adapt easily and have a nurturing personality.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

  • Relevant qualification level 2/3 preferred
  • Patient and able to create positive relationships
  • Experience in a SEND setting desirable
  • Able to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
