We are recruiting a forward-thinking and compassionate social housing association, dedicated to providing safe, secure, and affordable homes to our communities. We are currently seeking a Housing Manager to join our client in Derbyshire and lead our efforts in delivering exceptional housing services.

About the Role:

As a Housing Manager, you will take responsibility for the efficient and effective management of a portfolio of properties within the association. You’ll lead a dedicated team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality housing services to tenants, ensuring that their needs are met, and promoting strong community relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of social housing properties, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Provide strong leadership to the housing management team, fostering a culture of support, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with tenants, handling queries, complaints, and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Implement and monitor housing management policies, procedures, and services that support tenants and contribute to the successful operation of the housing association.
  • Work closely with colleagues across different departments to ensure an integrated approach to service delivery, including maintenance, rent collection, and community engagement.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, demonstrating an empathetic and responsive approach to tenants’ needs.
  • Ensure that properties are managed to the highest standards, keeping tenant satisfaction and operational efficiency at the forefront.

About You:

We are looking for a Housing Manager with a strong background in social housing, ideally with experience in managing a diverse housing portfolio. You will be an effective leader who thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment and demonstrates the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in housing management, ideally within a social housing setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on empowering and developing staff.
  • A deep understanding of housing regulations, tenancy management, and relevant legislation.
