Technical Administrator (Specifications Focused)

I'm recruiting on behalf of a business based in Derby who are on a recruitment drive for an experienced Technical Administrator. While the job title could be seen as vague, there will be a big focus on completing customer specifications and data analysis while liaising with colleagues, suppliers and customers. 

About the Role

As a Technical Administrator, you will play a critical role in a number of tasks within the technical team. You will need to have the ability to prioritise your workload, have a fine eye for detail and be a strong communicator both internally and with external customers/auditors. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update the supplier approval database.
  • Conduct regular traceability exercises across product ranges to uphold control standards.
  • Analyse data and prepare reports highlighting trends and insights for the team.
  • Set up new products in internal systems and customer specification portals, ensuring accuracy in labels and specifications.
  • Draft professional responses to customer complaints in collaboration with QA and Production teams.
  • Assist in site audits, providing required information to maintain certifications.

About You

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office with the ability for analysing data.
  • A science-based qualification or previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
