Atkinson Moss have been engaged to support this leading business with the appointment of a new Key Account Manager/Sales Manager. Operational HQ is based in Norfolk, England though this position can be based anywhere within the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Deeply understand the client's business needs and objectives, developing strategies to meet those needs effectively.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on the UK’s product offerings, industry trends, and relevant company initiatives.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services to existing clients, contributing to revenue growth.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Monitor and analyse account performance, implementing strategies to enhance account value and client satisfaction.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure KPI’s and service agreements are met.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Lead contract negotiations with key accounts, securing terms that align with both client needs and business objectives.
- Ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and legal requirements, and manage the renewal process, renegotiating terms when necessary.
- Handle tenders and RFQ’s in a professional and timely manner.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Sales Expertise: A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Account Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing key accounts, with a demonstrated ability to maintain and grow client relationships.
- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills,
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic account plans that align with client goals and drive revenue growth.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues that may impact client satisfaction or account performance.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with the capability to assess market trends, analyse sales data, and develop actionable insights.
- Organisational Skills: Highly organized with excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales,
- 5 years specifically managing high value key accounts within a consultative sale process.
