Job Title: Part Time HR Advisor - Initially temporary 

To support the HR Manager and team in delivering a proactive, responsive, effective, and efficient operational HR Service. Where required, to lead and manage the HR Team in the delivery of HR Services. Develop and deliver a range of modern HR processes and procedures to ensure our client meets both its operational and strategic objectives. Adopt a business partner approach and take ownership and accountability for dedicated areas/services within the company; ensuring you build strong relationships with operational managers to become a “trusted” professional partner who understands the business requirements at the grassroots level. You will achieve this through acting with integrity, respect, dignity, and inclusion at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and coach managers to understand HR policies and practices and ensure compliance.
  • Own and manage all employee relations case work by advising and guiding managers through matters such as discipline, grievance, absence management, performance management, and redundancy.
  • Provide specialist advice to Senior Managers to resolve employee relations issues and influence management approaches.
  • Evaluate and manage the efficiency of HR processes, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Support and motivate HR Support Officers to implement and deliver a range of support services, including supervisions and appraisals.
  • Attend and minute meetings or hearings as required, including producing disciplinary and grievance paperwork and letters.
  • Proactively improve attendance by engaging with managers on managing absence and using absence management data to drive actions.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team with HR issues and complex cases, ensuring compliance with legislation and identifying potential risks.
  • Work closely with other HR team members to ensure a seamless HR service for employees and managers.
  • Provide accurate and timely HR output measures, performance indicators, statistics, and returns. Contribute to the delivery and reporting of KPIs and analyse data to provide useful narrative and recommendations.
  • Engage with HR software applications to access relevant information and support senior managers with data and reports.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data protection are maintained at all times.
  • Deliver training and workshops for managers on HR processes and policies.
  • Lead, support, and motivate the HR Team to introduce new or more efficient HR management processes that minimise risk.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence, motivate, and inspire others.
  • Set and monitor performance objectives for staff.
  1. Proven experience in a generalist HR role with effective delivery of HR policies and procedures.
  2. Experience in employee relations case management.
  3. Experience with HR software applications and improving HR processes.
  4. Understanding of current employment legislation.
  5. Experience advising managers on complex ER cases.
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Ability to work independently and research HR solutions.
  8. Experience writing clear policies and procedures.
  9. CIPD Level 5 Diploma or experience.
  10. Full driving license and willingness to travel.
