As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious NPD Packaging Developer to join their business.Reporting into the Senior Packaging Technologist, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.Key responsibilities: * Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative packaging solutions.* Ensure the availability of samples and relevant information to meet product development deadlines.* Identify and develop new materials and supplier capabilities.* Execute factory trials to support product development and launch.* Support the generation of product information, specifications, and packing disciplines.* Manage transit test activity and approvals with the NPD Manager.* Approve technical aspects of artwork and ensure final sign-off to the printer.* Approve the functionality of imported packaging and components from the Far East.* Ensure the supply of new and improved packaging to meet future business needs.* Identify and satisfy packaging materials performance requirements, including timely sourcing of trial materials.* Manage factory trial activity on packaging projects, ensuring alignment with product development.* Conduct technical assessments and approvals of new packaging specifications.* Deliver packaging solutions that meet retailer requirements, including shelf depths and handling weights.* Ensure all packaging aligns with business environmental requirements.* Liaise with suppliers to communicate functional requirements and source trial materials.* Record packaging waste informationIf you believe you have the skills and personality to fit these requirements please either apply via this advert or call Henderson Brown on for more information.
