Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a major Norfolk employer who are looking for a senior payroll specialist to join the team on a 3-month+ contract, as the organisation enters their next phase of expansion.

Your new roleIn this Senior Payroll / Payroll Team Leader job, you will support the Payroll & HR senior management team as well as your payroll colleagues in various payroll duties such as validating the payroll data on key payroll projects, supporting the team with pension uploads, P11D's, overseeing payroll year-end, assisting the team with payroll queries and potentially managing your own part of the payroll.

If you have experience of HR / employment contracts, you may be asked to help with the creation of employment contracts / change letters due to recent business changes.

As explained, this is a 3-month+ temporary payroll job, so your duties will vary depending on your experience. Therefore, I am keen to see all CV applications from candidates with extensive payroll experience who are immediately available and able to commit to a 3-month+ contract role.

This will be an office-based role, working 5 days a week on the West side of Norwich with easy access off the A47.What you'll need to succeedYou will be an experienced payroll professional who has been involved in managing a large complex payroll in a fast-paced organisation and able to multitask as instructed by the Head of Payroll & HR, to complete various payroll tasks, so you need to be flexible and able to adapt to any given task. Therefore, it is expected you will understand the full payroll cycle, be aware of payroll statutory deductions, the latest payroll legislation, P11d's and ideally, at least an understanding of HR offer of employment letters.

What you'll get in returnAs this is a 3-month temporary agency contract, you will be paid an hourly rate via Hays Accountancy & Finance in the region of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on your experience.
