Buyer - Indirect Procurement

Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting an experienced Buyer (Indirect Procurement) to join a very successful sports car manufacturing company based in Norfolk. As a world-renowned sports car manufacturing company, my client is looking to hire a very successful and experienced Buyer, to work alongside their Indirect Procurement team.

The ideal candidate will have multiple years of hard negotiations experience, paired with a self-starter attitude and the determination to minimise costs, whilst working to strict budgeting guidelines.

Role Overview

The role requires a commercially aware candidate that has strong negotiation skills, paired with experience within a Procurement/Buyer role. The ideal candidate will be able to handle supplier accounts, have knowledge of framework agreements and the ability to negotiate payment plans and contracts.

The Role

Contract: Full time, permanent

Salary: Competitive, DOE

Location: Hybrid remote – 2 office, 3 home – Hethel or Wellesbourne

Hours: Standard business hours

Your Duties

-          Leading and developing relationships with renowned suppliers

-          Heavily negotiating on materials, payment plans and contract terms

-          Developing and maintaining sourcing strategies

-          Working to budget restraints and commitments

-          Ensuring the delivery of materials for new product integrations

-          Working with and learning internal BPM system

Requirements

-          Minimum 3 years within a Project Buyer role

-          Experience of negotiating terms and conditions, general terms and payment plans with suppliers

-          SAP experience

-          Knowledge of Sage payment systems

-          Strong understanding of Framework Agreements and ability to run them

-          Very strong communication and interpersonal skills

-          Understanding of Procurement general terms and conditions

-          Financial reconciliations

-          Self-starter attitude
