The Job Role
Somerset Education Alliance are looking for Teaching Assistants with passion and desire to educate and guide the young minds of our future. You will be able to adapt to different environments, engage students with invigorating ideas and radiate positivity throughout the placement.
We cover day to day, short term and long-term supply, and are always on the look out for Primary teachers, secondary teachers, cover supervisors, HLTAs and teaching assistants to join our team in and around the Devizes area!
Part time and full time applicants are encouraged to join!
Please note: Our standard daily pay rate as a supply teacher recruitment business is £85 for teaching assistants and £95 for SEN teaching assistants. For longer term placements with additional responsibilities, daily pay rate for a teaching assistant could be negotiated up to £100, at the discretion of school budgets.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Delivering cover lessons with planning included
- Following safeguarding and school policies
- Marking work as needed
- Liaising with school staff
Teaching Assistant Essentials
- QTS or ECT status (applications from other teaching backgrounds also welcome)
- A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)
- A 3 year minimum reference history
- Up to date knowledge of the curriculum
- Reliability
- Excellent communication skills
