This well-performing secondary school is seeking a Teacher of Music, based in rural Wiltshire. This is a full-time post and requires a teacher with a Degree in Music supported by a PGDE (Professional Graduate Diploma in Education). Working Monday to Friday, there is a need to remain flexible and committed to the successful delivery of practical and theory-based musical educational support to pupils within KS 3/4- and 5-year groups.

This position offers an annual pro rata salary of up to £41,300 plus a highly attractive range of employee benefits. The key focus areas include helping to ensure that pupils can learn and achieve the very best of their musical ability, especially those pupils who may be considering a career in the musical industry or/and the professional playing of musical instruments. The need to maintain a positive ethos and the promotion of core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom is critical to the success of this post.

You must be willing to work hard to ensure that the topics taught remain both modern and interesting and in line with core subjects, taking time to understand the needs of the pupils and that the responsibilities and the business targets of the school remain your core focus.

As a Teacher of Music, you will have previous planning and classroom management experience, be able to set clear targets, and be creative in your approach to learning making the whole experience more enjoyable, relative and interesting for the pupils. You need to have a naturally encouraging and motivational disposition, the ability to make pupils feel at ease and above all drive through confidence and abilities.  There is a need to take on new projects, supporting the wider school principles and working in collaboration with other teaching staff and departments.
