They are now looking to recruit a Membership Officer on a temp to perm basis, 30 hours per week.  This will be an office based role with some flexibility for home working.  The role reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager.

Role Purpose:
Provide excellent customer service while supporting the marketing team in managing and growing the membership base for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. This role includes full responsibility for membership administration and maintaining the database.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for 23,000+ members.
  • Handle the full membership process from recruitment to renewals and maintaining accurate records.
  • Oversee the direct debit system and manage membership payments.
  • Ensure high levels of customer care via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Produce reports and maintain the membership database for marketing purposes.
  • Manage Gift Aid declarations and claims, ensuring compliance with HMRC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with external recruitment partners and volunteers for membership administration tasks.

Database & Reporting:

  • Manage and update the CRM database, ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance.
  • Provide data and reports for membership and marketing activities.
  • Support membership upgrade campaigns and ensure financial and legal compliance.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in customer service or donor support.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (experience with is a plus).
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team, solve problems, and handle confidential data.
