Part-Time School Cover Supervisor, a permanent career opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant/Cover/Teacher who is looking for a part-time, varied role, one which takes responsibility for the learning, behaviour, and progress of classes during the absence of the designated teacher. Working Monday to Friday, term time only and between the hours of 9.00 – 15.00 (32.5 hours per week). Offering a salary up to £24,234 plus a range of excellent employee benefits.
Based in the scenic town of Devizes, you will be responsible for the supervision of whole classes set and arranged by each teacher, working in line with school policy establishing and creating productive working relationships with students KS 3, 4 and 5. You will need an approachable, professional and encouraging personality, able to manage conflict where needed and above all ensure to delivery of exceptional learning experiences for every student.
As a Part-Time School Cover Supervisor, you will work closely with the class teachers to ensure that key curriculum subjects and objectives are both understood and delivered, working to motivate students to be the very best that they can be. Ensuring that end-of-lesson feedback is both constructive and accurate, which plays a pivotal part in this position, meeting with students and teachers where necessary to discuss, agree and implement any changes or to discuss any potential concerns.
You will be required to be in attendance during break time, on school trips and on occasion be present at parents/guardian meetings when needing to discuss the individual progress of the students. We are seeking an experienced Part-Time School Cover Supervisor with the relevant educational attainments, someone who can provide 5 years of employment references with added skills gained with Windows-based software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
