Swift Temps Ltd are working with a dedicated non-profit charity based in Dewsbury, committed to making a positive impact within the community. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.

The Role:

3-month Temp to Perm Position

Location: Fully Remote (Candidate must be within commuting distance to Dewsbury)

Hours: 20-30 per week

Pay Rate: 12.00 per hour

Laptop and full set up provided to be home based

Role Overview:

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial processes, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the wider team with financial administration. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to use their financial expertise in a meaningful way within the charity sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Supporting payroll processing and expense claims
  • Assisting with budget monitoring and financial reporting
  • Reconciling bank statements and managing financial transactions
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and charity funding requirements
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, including suppliers and auditors
  • Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed
  • Must be able to use Excel to a very high standard as you will be using this tool on a daily basis to ensure accuracy of financial data.

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a finance administration role
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in financial software Sage, or similar
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of financial compliance and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
