We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services, for an RMN Deputy Ward Manager to join the established team in an independent mental health hospital in Dewsbury
The hospital provides a specialist inpatient service for adults and older age males with severe and enduring mental health conditions, who may also have an undiagnosed memory related illness. They also provide a specialist neurocognitive/dementia care service for males presenting with very agitated or aggressive behaviour.
The hospital is split into two wards:
Rehabilitation and recovery for severe and enduring mental health service to support those complex males that not only have a diagnosed mental illness but that also present with an undiagnosed or early onset memory related condition.
Neurocognitive/dementia service for those showing agitated or aggressive behaviour. Offering bespoke packages of care, tailored to individual needs, which support management at different stages of the care pathway.
This a permanent full time post and offers a competitive salary of £39,847 per annum + £4,000 Welcome Bonus plus

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to join an established team caring for two groups of patients with Neurodegenerative disorder and Mental illnesses requiring rehabilitation. You will work closely with other members of the MDT and be supported by the site Consultant Psychiatrist.
The post holder will provide day-to-day nursing input on the wards and will receive clinical supervision and support in professional development and CPD.
The role will be primarily focused around the effective delivery of clinical care and working towards improving standards within the clinical areas.
The role of the Deputy Ward Manager is to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager. The successful candidate will have clinical experience and leadership skills that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall. They will have defined delegated responsibilities from the Ward Manager.
