Day-to-day of the role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: * Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential. * Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet students’ needs. * Engage with pupils through one-to-one or small group sessions, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. * Utilise and contribute to the development of resources that aid in effective learning. * Monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to help shape further educational strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with transferable skills.
  • A strong desire to enhance the educational experience of children with special needs.
  • Confidence in managing diverse needs within the classroom.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
