Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be working with a prestigious organisation in Harwell to help source an Accounts Assistant to join their expanding finance function. The responsibilities of the role include:
- processing of supplier invoices and staff expenses through automated accounting system.
- Weekly payment runs
- Review and analyse ages creditors & supplier statement reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations/Credit card statements
- Preparation of prepayments and accruals and posting of journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations prepayments/Accruals/other
- Providing general administrative support to the finance function, keeping accurate records, electronic filing, reporting
- To forge effective working relationship with teams to ensure costs are captured and paid in a timely manner
- Preparing and posting internal recharges,
- Responding to queries and maintaining the finance team’s email inboxes
- Checking and querying purchase orders and expense claims
The ideal candidate for this role will have strong transactional accounting experience and would ideally be AAT studying or qualified, or part qualified ACCA or CIMA. You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills in order to comfortably fit into a close knit but growing finance team. Good systems experience is also required as is intermediate Excel usage.
