Brook Street are recruiting for an Office Adminstrator on a temporary contract.

Contract until June 2025.

Pay rate: 13.36 per hour

Location: Harwell Campus, Didcot

Hours: Mon - Thurs 8am - 4pm, Fri 8am - 3pm

We are currently looking to recruit Support Officers to work within our Facilities User Office. The User Office The office deals with many thousands of visiting researchers per year and provides a professional and friendly service in dealing with their practical visit arrangements.The User Office team consists of a team manager plus three support officers. Whilst each team member has particular areas of responsibility, all team members are expected to contribute to the smooth working of the user office, including covering for other team members during absences.

Support Officers would need experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and be able to effectively operate general office equipment.

Further duties include:

Arranging travel and accommodation for visitors (short term and long term)

User registration and safety induction on arrival

Liaising with external agencies, universities, institutes etc.

Providing organisational support for meetings, workshops and conferences

Maintaining user databases and web pages"

Answering telephones, checking emails and responding/forwarding accordingly

Processing expense claims

Dealing with general day to day queries

Preparing user-related statistical reports

Other general office tasks as required

Cover for other members of the team as required

We are looking for:
