The Role

As an Automotive Painter, you will work closely with our client'sskilled body shop team to ensure vehicles are painted to the highest standard. From meticulous preparation to the final flawless finish, your expertise will contribute to the restoration of these beloved classic cars

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Preparation: Clean, buff, and mask off areas not to be painted. Remove rust, grease, and imperfections to ensure a smooth surface. Fill cavities and dents with putty as needed.

  • Paint Application: Match and mix colors to achieve precise shades. Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray equipment for a showroom-quality finish. Buff and polish surfaces between coats for a flawless result.

  • Quality Inspection: Examine painted surfaces for defects, ensuring a perfect, high-gloss finish. Polish and wax vehicles post-painting for optimal presentation.

  • Equipment & Workplace Maintenance:Maintain and clean spray equipment, paint booths, and tools. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and PPE usage.

  • Collaboration & Development: Work closely with colleagues on vehicle repairs and preparation. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and products to continuously refine your skills.

What you will receive

In return you will receive a competitive salary, dependent on experience between £35,000- £42,000, company pension, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown and an annual bonus dependent on performance. You will also receive full uniform and tools insurance.
