Education to a degree level is desired for this position. Ideally, the school are looking for someone with a strong academic background and a 2:2 or above. Experience in a similar position is ideal for this role. The primary school are looking for someone with at least 1 years' experience as a teaching assistant. The teaching assistant will be supporting in a Year 2 class.

The teaching assistant will hold responsibilities of general classroom support, involving helping the class teacher with preparation of lessons as well as delivery and helping children with their learning. The focus will be numeracy and literacy; however, extra-curricular activities will also be a part of the role. The teaching assistant will be working with small groups and 1:1 with the children for example to help them with their reading.
