Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a scientific organisation in Harwell to help source a Finance Analyst to join their close knit finance function, in a newly-created role. This post offers a salary of up to £45,000 per annum (based on experience), 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays but inclusive of Christmas shut down), enhanced pension scheme, hybrid working (2 days in the office) and flexible working hours, full study support and free onsite parking.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, analyse, and deliver accurate and timely management accounts & financial reports
  • Support the Finance Manager with preparation and close management of yearly budgeting process and quarterly forecasting
  • Assist with internal and external grant reporting
  • Work closely with the Grants and Contracts Administrator to ensure Grant T&Cs are up to date and being implemented correctly
  • Prepare financial and other reports for external stakeholders, funders and regulatory authorities
  • Oversee AP/AR processing and cash forecasting
  • Prepare the relevant financial papers for board meetings
  • Review internal finance processes and implementing change/updates where needed
  • Support the Finance Manager with external audit 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role and will ideally be ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to business partner with finance and non-finance people alike. Experience with grants would be favourable, as would previous experience within the scientific sector.
