Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £42,000 per annum + On Call Allowance
Reed Engineering are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a fantastic company in Didcot. As a successful candidate you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of production equipment. This role is crucial in minimizing downtime and optimizing production output, ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate reliably and efficiently to meet production demands.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on various production equipment.
- Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure equipment safety and compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors for timely servicing and repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- Work on secure rooms maintenance, including pipe work, fixing gas lines, and pressure systems, with a focus on rotary experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing faults, as well as performing preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Engineering.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Experience with Mechanical and Electrical maintenance (50/50 split).
- PLC experience is highly regarded.
- Rope access training or willingness to undertake IRATA qualification (provided by the company).
