• Expert knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) including producing Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP) forecast data for Cost Engineers, detailing, by activity, cumulative forecast BCWP value per financial period along with revised start and finish dates for all activities in the schedule

• Development of schedules for inclusion in the baseline and subsequent development of detailed project schedules to support project delivery.

• Ensure all key milestone dates are included in the scheduling tool & coded using the Magnox compliant codes to enable company-wide reports to be run

• Develop project schedules in compliance with company standards

• Manage and report on Critical Path Analysis (CPA)
• Assess any Sub Contractor's programmes as per NEC requirements and make recommendations for programme acceptance / rejection to the Project Manager
• Ensure baseline and detailed project schedules remain aligned and in compliance with company standards.
• Ensure all interdependencies between projects and programmes on a site are built into the schedule and the impact of these interdependencies are recorded and monitored on a regular basis
• Provide Basis of Schedule assumptions and exclusions, detailing any that affect the schedule structure and content, for example, assumptions made on throughput models of processing plant etc. These assumptions and exclusions will need reviewing / amending prior to every gate in the projects lifecycle and, also, if the project requires a Baseline Change Proposal
• Routinely administer the Magnox (MX) Risk Management Database for the project., Following risk analysis, ensure schedule contingency & risk mitigation activities are built into schedules and are easily identifiable
• Maintain baseline schedules through change control, reflecting additional / modified / deleted scope and ensuring that the schedule integrity is preserved throughout (to be evidenced by running batch of generic Magnox reports)
• Monitor & report weekly, or as frequently as required, on work liquidation at detailed level, performing quantity surveys in support of productivity analysis, if necessary. Roll project detailed progress up to summary baseline schedules ensuring progress is a true & fair view at the end of a financial period
• Provide critical path analysis and near-critical path float analysis including any changes brought about by schedule updates, highlighting any deviations from approved baseline dates in the form of reports and Gantt layouts
• Assist Project Managers in producing the monthly performance reports by providing, from the Level 3 schedules – Year To Date (YTD) BCWP, forecast BCWP, analysis of schedule variances and providing recovery planning assistance, if necessary
• Assist Cost Engineers in providing an accurate Estimate At Completion (EAC) by providing accurate schedule forecast information
• Produce ‘S-curves' and resource profiles from all levels of cost schedules
• Maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with Magnox processes
• Conduct full and detailed Schedule Performance Index (SPI) & Schedule Variance (SV) , analysis and subsequent root cause analysis, followed by provision of narrative, recommendations & recovery plans
• Involvement in pre contract management and assessment work.
• Ensuring the integrity of baseline and progressed schedules.
• Undertake assurance activities as directed.
• Provision of knowledge transfer and training and development of Magnox staff from the Contract.
• The duties/responsibilities defined above may be supplemented by further duties as defined by the relevant Function Lead.
